I am an ultrarunner with ankylosing spondylitis (Bechtrew). I am 57 years old, married, Police officer and sportsman who always goes for the positive side of life. Started ultrarunning in 2017 and achieved better results every year despite age and limitations. In 2024 finish Ultrabalaton, in 2025 the100 mile HOHO100 in less than 21 hours. In April 2025 I will aim for a fast time in the Ultrabalaton and hopefully a starting ticket for the Sparthalon as an ultimete dream goal that shows that everything is possible with the right mindset.  Spartathlon revives the footsteps of Pheidippides, an ancient Athenian long distance runner, who in 490 BC, before the battle of Marathon, was sent to Sparta to seek help in the war between the Greeks and the Persians.

Described as the world's most grueling race, the Spartathlon runs over rough tracks and muddy paths, crosses vineyards and olive groves, climbs steep hillsides and, most challenging of all, takes the runners on the 1,200 meter ascent and descent of Mount Parthenio in the dead of night.
