Hello! My name is Ádám Sipos. I was born in Hungary on the 24th of february in 1984. I work as a teacher, teaching physics and mathematics. I am married and have three children. I like travelling and watching football mathes. I started running 17 years ago, when I was working as a football referee. I first heard about this competition 11 years ago thanks to Dr. Szilvia Lubics, who then won the competition for the third time. And how great life is now that he's directing my workouts.  Spartathlon revives the footsteps of Pheidippides, an ancient Athenian long distance runner, who in 490 BC, before the battle of Marathon, was sent to Sparta to seek help in the war between the Greeks and the Persians.

Described as the world's most grueling race, the Spartathlon runs over rough tracks and muddy paths, crosses vineyards and olive groves, climbs steep hillsides and, most challenging of all, takes the runners on the 1,200 meter ascent and descent of Mount Parthenio in the dead of night.
