Short CV:
I was born and raised in Izmir (or Symrna). I used to run in İzmir's Culture Park as a child and teenager. Then life occurred, and I strayed. At 40, I decided to take up hiking and completed the Lycian Way. I was intrigued by the runners I saw on their route. At the age of 41, I began Kick Boxing, earned my black belt and first dan, and went on to become a judge for the Ministry of Youth and Sport. I thought I needed more exercise and began running at 42. I am currently 46 years old. I began slowly with 21-kilometer local races before running my first 42-kilometer race the same year. I finished the Ephesus Ultra Trail 119K, the Cappadocia Ultra Trail 120K, and the Run Fire Salt Lake 100 Miles, which was on my bucket list. I placed third in that race. Spartathlon is my other race on the bucket list, and I am quite thrilled about it. I work as a buying senior in one of Türkiye's best schools, and I have been happily married for 20 years. We have a 14-year-old daughter together. My daughter is an archer and swimmer, much like me.
