A wee man from Northern Ireland that does a bit of running..... Started running in 2016 doing short stuff. Soon realised that I wasn't getting any quicker so thought I'd give the longer stuff a go. Got instantly hooked on Ultra running. Completed my first Ultra Marathon 2 years ago - The Thames Path 100km Ultra (2017). Moved up a notch in 2018 and completed my first 100 mile event - Centurion Autumn 100. Ran a variety of different Ultra distances. This year (2019) I hired a coach to try and get more out of me and it’s really worked. I feel fitter and faster than I’ve ever been at the moment. Races I’ve ran in 2019: Wrexham half marathon (7th place - 1hr 23mins (PB)) Great Welsh Marathon (5th place - 2hrs 53mins (PB)) GB Ultra Chester 100 in May (1st place - PB) Energia 24 Belfast (24hr event) in June (15th place - 123.58 miles (PB)) Worcester city half marathon (6th place - 1hr 17mins (PB)) Haven’t ran a lot of Ultras this year as I’ve been concentrating on preparing for Spartathlon but I feel in good shape and ready for the journey. This is my first Spartathlon race.
