I'm 46 years old, and I run since 2002. My resume contains of over 80 marathons and ultra-marathons. Ultra distances is what I cherish the most. In 2014 one of my dreams came to true, when I completed The North Face UTMB. Since then I kept thinking about my other goal which is the magical SPARTATHLON. My entire 2015 was dedicated to prepare for that goal, and to complete all necessary requirements. So: In April 2015 I ran 12h of Ruda Slaska, and covered 120.5km. Then between June 6th and June 15th 2015 I ran the entire Red Trail of Beskid . That was 520km with 19500m of elevation gain, and all totally self supported, done in predicted 9 days. Also that was my main preparation for July's ultra trail called Seven Picks Run, prestigious 240km of trail with 7600m of elevation gain, all done in 36 hours and 19 minutes, which gave mi 2nd place Open. Next task was September's running in 24 hours Polish Championship. After 210.175 km, I was lucky to get 5th place in men's general classification. My hope is that this way I acquired some required minimums for Sparthatlon. Also I feel confident that I'm ready to take my chances on the road from Athens to Sparta. I humbly wish that in September of 2016 I will be standing on the start line of my biggest dream and greatest goal. With warmest regards, Robert Korab
