Hello, My name is John Fegyveresi and I represented the US team at the 2018 Spartathlon. The conditions were quite difficult that year, and I was immensely grateful that I was able to finish. If selected again this year, I hope to return to experience the amazing course again. My running background is quite diverse. I've been tackling ultra-marathons since 2008 and have participated in a broad range of races: From the Badwater 135, to the Vol State 314, to several multi-day events, to the Hardrock 100, to the Western States 100....all the way to the infamous Barkley Marathons. My overall goal if selected for 2020, will be to again have as much fun as possible, while immersing myself completely in experience.
